FIELD: check of pipe lines for condition. SUBSTANCE: method consists in moving special device through pipe line under action of flow of product being transported through this pipe line and furnishing signal by means of change disk mounted in front portion of housing; this disk acts on impact sensor sending signal to electronic unit; during first pass, diameter of disk is dictated by amount of deformation of cleaning device passed beforehand; then diameters of disks are increased from first pass to subsequent ones. Electronic unit used for recording impact is provided with the following components connected in series: metric pulse shaper, buffer registers, current converters, indicator unit, impact number selection unit and impact counter. One output of impact number selection unit is connected to one of inputs of on-line storage; its other output is connected to input of impact counter whose outputs are connected to respective inputs of converter.
