FIELD: pipe-line transport. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to operation of main and excavation pipe-lines and is meant for search, location and check of movement of cleaning and diagnostic tools which are jammed from ground surface. Device to locate cleaning and diagnostic tools in pipe-line includes transmitter mounted on tool and receiver with antenna for reception of transmitter signals that is positioned over pipe- line. Transmitter sends signals in frequency range 7.0-11.0 Hz with relative pulse duration set depending on speed of movement of tool. Transmitter has leak-tight container that houses autonomous power supply source connected through electron key controlled by supply voltage tester to modulator which output is connected to generator. Output of the latter is connected to emitting antenna. Core of emitting antenna is manufactured in the form of cylinder with cheeks made from nonmagnetic material. Transmitter is fitted with unit of time delay of transmission of signals which controls through AND circuit together with supply voltage tester electron key. Key switches on supply of time-pulse modulator and generator. Output of time-pulse modulator is connected to generator and generator output is linked to emitting antenna. Receiver of transmitter signal has decoder which input is connected to output of amplifier-converter and which output is connected to test and indication device.
