SUBSTANCE: proposed device can be used in overburden operations carried out by power shovels. Device has transmitting inductance coil secured on excavator boom enclosing the boom and connected with electromagnetic oscillation transmitter. Receiving inductance coil encloses excavator platform and it is connected with receiver-converter coupled with locking and signalling unit acting onto excavator slave mechanism.
