DEVICE FOR CLEANING INTERNAL SURFACES OF PIPE-LINE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: pipe-line transport, particularly, devices for cleaning internal surface of pipe-line from ferromagnetic refuse, such as electrodes, scale, scrap metal. SUBSTANCE: flange of the device for cleaning internal surface is connected to magnetic unit through flange which is pivotally connected to cantilever fixed to carriage. The magnetic unit contains carriage which is made from metal plate in the form of slide. Magnets are arranged in parallel rows on the support solid slides under the carriage along the longitudinal axis of the pipe-line. Apron which is arc-wise is folded in the direction of transferred medium and is fixed to the carriage. The device cleans internal surface of the pipe-line from metal items in the parts of the pipe-line provided with hollows and projections on its internal surface. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to excluding presence of powerful magnet, reduced cost of the cleaning devices, prevented distraction of magnets thanks to supporting slides, washing away of the sticking metal particles from the magnetic unit. 1 dwg
