SUBSTANCE: method allows to enhance morphological homogeneity of active mass of oxide cathode, to raise anode current, steepness of decay of volt-ampere characteristic and pulse emission of tube by irradiation of emitting composition of active mass with gamma quanta with dosage 104...106 rad which is carried out with simultaneous annealing at temperature 800-900 C in atmosphere of carbon dioxide for 30-60 min.
