FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to physical therapy, and concerns conducting ionophoresis. A method for transdermal drug delivery involves applying two electrodes - active and passive, coating patient's derma with a drug, supplying unidirectional current onto the electrodes. The drug is ionised by high-energy air ion bombardment on the patient's derma directly in the active electrode. The latter is a high-energy air ion generator and a substance applied on the derma with a gap in between of 20-25 mm.
EFFECT: method enables providing more effective introduction of electrically neutral drugs by ionising them directly on the patient's skin with providing the penetration thereof into deep skin with using low current.
