FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to inactivation of microorganisms in air and can be used for disinfection of air at various objects. Method for inactivation of microorganisms in air is that air is passed through a system of corona-forming electrodes and electrodes of ionizers, located in the sterilization chamber in a magnetic field, high-voltage pulses of positive and negative polarity with amplitude of 14–100 kV with duration of 2–200 ms and porosity of 1 to 100, with possibility to independently set voltage value. Electric steriliser consists of housing and several groups of corona-forming electrodes connected to high-voltage pulse power sources, sterilization chamber accommodating positive and negative corona-forming electrodes. Between the positive and negative corona-forming electrodes there are isolated electrodes, made in the form of dielectric housing with built-in metal grids and electrodes of ionizers, are installed on the last in direction of air negative electrode. Sterilizing chamber accommodates at least four electromagnets, power supply sources of which are installed outside the sterilization chamber housing and synchronized with power supply sources of electrodes. In front of the inlet there installed is turbine and injector of additional gas supply of certain composition.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of inactivation.
