FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: pivot hinge, which may be fastened to leather article flat portions, has set of cylinders inserted one into another and made from relatively soft material. Cylinders define axial opening extending along the whole length of pivot hinge. Thin rod inserted into axial opening is made from relatively rigid flexible material. Rod is made shorter than axial length of opening and is retained in opening by end closures made separate from pivot hinge flap or directly on it. Pivot joint flaps are made curved so that panels, to which these flaps are to be attached, are in parallel one with the other, when materials are put between them. Alternative construction has third panel with back similar to that used in book cover or construction member has series of independent cylinders and tubular parts of construction member, which form second expanding member similar to pivot hinge. Such construction allows such things as note-books, pocket books or pocket calendars having bendable part and thus tending to creasing and quick wearing, to be provided with flexible pivot hinge. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction, provision for retaining good appearance and high service life of articles. 29 cl, 12 dwg
