FIELD: mechanical engineering and may be used in centrifuges having a substantial unbalance of rotor system. SUBSTANCE: centrifuge drive has housing filled with liquid and internally accommodating cylindrical support float serving for installation of rotor, electric motor with drive shaft and damping device made in the form of cylindrical shell installed with a clearance coaxially with the support float and associated with the wall and bottom of the housing. The support float is provided with an annular disk having a flanged edge facing the housing bottom and installed above the end face of the cylindrical shell to overlap clearance between the shell and the support float in axial and radial directions and thus to form a channel for throttling liquid. EFFECT: reduced unbalance of centrifuge rotor system. 1 dwg
