FIELD: machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: drive of centrifuge has case 1 filled with liquid, cylindrical bearing float 2 arranged inside it submerged in the liquid and serving for installation of rotor 3. Drive also has damping device made in form of cylindrical shell 4 installed coaxially to the bearing float 2 with clearance to form hydrodynamic bearing between them. Cylindrical shell 4 is connected in radial and axial directions with the walls and bottom of case 1 by means of elastic supports 5. Float 2 is connected to driving shaft 6 of motor 7. Ribs 8 are fastened to cylindrical surface of the bearing float 2 along the helical line starting from the bottom in direction opposite to direction of rotation of rotor 3. Bearing float 2 is centered due to presence of hydrodynamic bearing and fluctuations of rotor 3 are damped in a contactless manner. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of operation. 2 cl, 1 dwg
