FIELD: mechanical engineering; scavenging of cylinders. SUBSTANCE: for more reliable cleaning of combustion chamber of cylinder providing intake of fresh charge when exhaust valve is still open, manifold of this cylinder is placed in communication through main line with manifold of cylinder which provides exhaust of gases at this particular moment. Owing to ejector rarefaction, intensity of suction out of combustion products from cylinder chamber is increased which leads to increase in cylinder fill factor. For this purpose manifold whose cylinders are not engaged in exhaust gas discharge process are overlapped. This makes it possible to use energy of exhaust gases for creating rarefaction in the manifold into cylinder of which fresh charge is delivered with exhaust valve being open. EFFECT: improved scavenging of engine cylinders. 4 cl, 5 dwg
