FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to test of structural materials for wear. It can be applied in many branches of science and industry concerned with determination of erosion damage of material with liquid particles. Given metering device - dropper makes it possible to avoid vibration of capillary preventing deflection of drops and providing for fragmentation of jet after capillary which imparts bigger stability to size of drops, maintenance of strictly definite quantity of liquid coming from tank and more accurate sustenance of sizes of drops. Device includes bracket 7 carrying holder 5 of needle 6 and vibration generator 10 positioned in sequence.
