FIELD: equipment for covering aviation equipment parts, preferably of gas turbine engine, with protective coat. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing of vacuumizer 1 with closure 25, movable cathode 2 made in the form of cylindrical shell manufactured from volatile material and equipped with movable cylindrical magnetic retainer for cathodic spot, electrically isolated holder 10 equipped with protective screen system and connected to negative pole of potential shift source 17 and to drive 12 providing planetary movement of holder around cathode axis, hollow cooled cylindrical anode 3 equipped with magnetic coil 4 and arranged so as to embrace cathode 2 and holder 10, protective electrically isolated screen for cathode 2, annular electrodes 8 and 21 defining axial cavity between anode and cathode, and cathodic spot exciter 7, branch pipe 23 located in closure 21 of vacuumizer in gap between cathode 2 and holder 10, gas discharge ion source 22 located in branch pipe 23 and provided with gate arranged at side adjoining vacuumizer and adapted for closing branch pipe, and hollow movable rod 26 connected outside branch pipe to mechanism 29 providing displacement of gas discharge ion source 22 to working zone, power supply source 28 connected to anode and to cooled casing of gas discharge ion source 22 through cavity of movable rod 26, gas system 30 for supplying working gas into gas discharge ion source 22 through rod 26 and for regulating pressure in vacuumizer 1, end switch 27 for supplying negative potential from power source 28 to holder 10 in the process of introducing gas discharge ion source 22 into working zone, and electronic key 19 connected to circuit of potential shift source.
