FIELD: laser engineering; miscellaneous devices using self-maintained space discharge. SUBSTANCE: set of electrodes has at least two electrodes 1, 2 made of separate plates; each plate of first and second electrodes is electrically coupled with two plates: with adjacent plate of particular electrode through spark gaps and with plate of other electrode located in same plane through its separate section of storage capacitor; one of plates in any electrically coupled pair is connected through stabilizing inductance coil to common bus of respective electrode and other one is not connected to common bus. Insulating members placed between all plates form gas flow whose velocity is perpendicular to plate working edge. EFFECT: provision for shaping self-maintained space discharge in gas mixtures of highly heterogeneous density and at high pulse repetition rate of self-maintained space discharge. 3 cl, 3 dwg
