FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: heater has tubular housing sealed on one end with plug. Its other end is expanded for tight fitting of insulator. The latter mounts symmetrical current leads joined on one end by means of nuts and washers to heat-resistant leads of heating element. The latter is made of resistive material sheet which carries slots cut in parallel opposition lengthwise of sheet to form planar spiral. It is closed on two ends with insulating material. Heating element shape follows that of internal surface of housing; it is tightly pressed to this surface by means of housing filler. Insulator 3 tightly fitted in housing is held in position by means of two locking screws. Flange provided with fastening holes is fixed on same side of housing. Additional heating elements may be used. EFFECT: improved design. 4 cl, 8 dwg
