FIELD: domestic equipment for water heating and boiling. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has hermetical vessel made from heat-resistant glass and provided with water filling and water discharge openings, cylindrical throat positioned adjacent to one of openings and cavity of arbitrary shape communicated with atmosphere and oriented toward vessel cavity. Cavity is positioned in the vicinity of vessel bottom part. Heat-absorbing screen made from sheet heat-resistant material is secured within vessel on arbitrary shape cavity wall by means of flexible lobe members, which embrace cavity edges. Apparatus is further provided with outside hollow casing made from heat-resistant material and connected with vessel by retaining annular member, which embraces narrow portion of vessel throat. Heat-emitting electric heater of arbitrary shape is connected in series with thermal switch, mains electric switch and outer voltage source and is positioned in cavity outside vessel. Heater is fixed in cavity by flexible retainers, which embrace socle part of electric heater. Heat-absorbing screen is inserted between flexible retainers and heat-emitting part of electric heater. Thermal switch and mains electric switch are positioned within casing. Heat-absorbing screen has heat-removing member, which is in contact with inner wall of vessel adjacent to zone controllable by heat-sensitive member of thermal switch, providing for automatic switching off of electric heater, when members of apparatus are heated to temperature exceeding admissible level. Apparatus allows instant transmission of heat flux from electric heater to water at the initial heating stage. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 5 dwg
