FIELD: medicine; surgery. SUBSTANCE: first 1 ml of 0.1%-adrenalin solution is injected into patient's spleen tissue, using resolvable hemostatic gauze as padding. Next spleen parenchyma tissue is saturated with "machine" suture, and resulting wound is sealed by hemostatic gauze attached by bioadhesive. EFFECT: new approach to resection of spleen.
