METHOD FOR CLOSING A WOUND OF A PARENCHYMATOUS ORGAN Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, surgery. At the conservative surgery visible protruding vessels and the opened abdominal system of a parenchymatous organ are preliminarily sutured and ligatured with Vicryl 3/0. On the edges of the wound of a parenchymatous organ rectangular, folded in halves and cross-linked polypropylene meshes are mounted. Non-traumatic needle 1/0 is used to suture with U-shape sutures two polypropylene mashes on the opposite sides of the wound. Fibrous capsule of the organ and full thickness of the parenchyma are sutured, wherein the needle is pricked out in the wound bed. Then the needle is delivered from the wound bottom through the entire parenchyma of the opposite wound edge. Sutures are made throughout the entire length of the wound. Interval between the sutures is 10–15 mm. Wound edges are pulled together by tightening the sutures until bleeding stops. Pulled-together mash edges are sutured with separate interrupted sutures with the interval of one centimeter using a prolene thread 2/0.

EFFECT: method provides the reliable homeostasis and broader capabilities of conservative operations on parenchymatous organs by reinforcing the suture line onto the entire wound depth of the parenchymatous organ.
