FIELD: groats production. SUBSTANCE: method involves removing contaminants from grain; shelling, polishing and separating polished ungrounded groats; separating wastes to produce feeds from them; drying groats to reach 1.5-3% moisture content; performing hydraulic and thermal treatment; providing repeated drying; cooling and flattening to obtain flattened product. Method allows wide range of polished ungrounded products, such as flattened product, oat flour, oat meal and feeds to be obtained. When oat flour is produced, ungrounded oat groats are separated and steamed out, slightly dried, ground in four milling systems and winnowed to separate, when required, oat flour.
