FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: pipe-laying vessel is made inform of submarine which has pressure hull and outer hull. Vessel is fully equipped submarine, machinery, systems and units, living spaces and compartments for storage of pipes. Working compartment bounded by hull and transverse walls is located in lower portion of hull; it is open over lower horizontal plane. It is placed on bottom of sea in working position. Water is forced out of working compartment by air at pressure equal to outside pressure. Welding the pipes, insulating their joints and laying the pipe line in trench will be effected in working compartment. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 dwg
