FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: basing on periodically measuring calcium and silicon contents in limestone slurry, nepheline, and wash water and also basing on continuously measuring densities of limestone slurry and wash water using mathematical model of mixing, one obtains preset values of wash water and nepheline intakes with known limestone slurry intake which make possible maintaining lime modulus of lime-nepheline blend and its moisture content on preset levels. Second mathematical model of preparing limestone slurry is designed to calculate calcium and silicon content in limestone slurry in any controlling step basing on measured value of calcium and silicon contents in limestone and calculated contents of calcium and silicon in wash water. At each measurement of calcium and silicon content in limestone slurry using reverse model of limestone slurry preparation, calcium and silicon contents in limestone are adjusted.
