FIELD: mining industry; applicable in mining of outburst-prone sections of potassium beds by long breakage faces. SUBSTANCE: after detection of hazardous zone, outburst is initiated in face part of rock mass by blasting of blasthole charges and discharge of salt-gas flow over hollow to worked-out space. Hollow is formed by displacement of respective flank support units adjacent to axis of cut line; they are successively advanced together with face conveyor in cut line towards face and trajectory of salt-gas flow of outburst is preset by angle of inclination to horizon of lower row of blastholes of initiating cut, which is determined by the computing formula which takes into consideration of extracted thickness of bed, height of cable laying machine of face conveyor, width of face spaces in line of cut initiating, distance from face to cable laying machine of face conveyor.
