FIELD: mining industry; applicable in mining of potassium and coal seams with difficult-to-cave roofs, particularly, selective getting of mineral with partial filling of worked-out spaces with gob packs. SUBSTANCE: method consists in partial filling of worked-out space with side and central gob packs. Central gob pack is filled by sections parallel to breakage face line as long faces advances through distance h equalling established step of main roof caving with length of gob pack equalling L/5 and its width at least h/5, where L is length of breakage face. So, formed parallel gob packs serve as pads relieving caving dynamics and at the same time facilitate formation of blocks of caved main roof small in size. In this case, roof caving is regularly performed as breakage face advances, i.e. with constant step of caving and no negative consequences for face operation. EFFECT: higher safety of mining operations. 2 dwg
