FIELD: burning solid and liquid wastes. SUBSTANCE: wastes are burnt by partially burning the solid wastes on stepped fire grates, after which they are loaded into rotary furnace at high temperature at which fluid slag is formed at rotary furnace inlet. Liquid wastes may be added to solid wastes which are to be burnt on stepped fire grates. Ash products of combustion, such as fire grate fines, boiler ash fly ash and residual products of flue gas cleaning which are returned to furnace inlet where they are introduced in molten slag, thus forming glass-like mass through fusing slag, fly ash and other toxic agent; salts and heavy metal cannot be released through leaching. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 9 cl, 3 dwg
