FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering, namely to devices for burning of low-quality fuels, and can be used, in particular, for combustion of industrial, domestic and medical solid wastes. Catalytic furnace for combustion of solid wastes includes a casing including a combustion chamber with walls and a vault, an afterburning chamber separated by a saddle wall from the combustion chamber; a waste grate on the combustion chamber bottom, an ash chamber located under the grate; burner, inspection window, combustion chamber and ash chamber hatches installed on front wall, hopper with rotary flap and cover installed on arch. Furnace contains gas-permeable dense layer of granular catalyst arranged in section of afterburner, perpendicular to direction of movement of gas combustion products, plate arranged in ash chamber, rigidly connected with rod passing through wall, with possibility of longitudinal movement.
EFFECT: invention allows improving operating efficiency of the device and its environmental friendliness.
