DEVICE MEASURING CONCENTRATION OF FERROMAGNETIC PARTICLES IN LIQUID Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2090860 C1

FIELD: measurement of concentration of ferromagnetic particles in liquid. SUBSTANCE: device has section of round waveguide with dielectric chamber for tested medium placed in it, solenoid placed on section of round waveguide and connected to source of electric energy, source of electromagnetic wave of H11 type, detectors of electromagnetic waves, measuring instrument, comparator, D.C. amplifier and two amplitude detectors. Inputs of amplitude detectors are connected to detectors of electromagnetic waves which are manufactured in the form of mutually perpendicular vibrators positioned in plane of cross-section of waveguide. Output of comparator is connected to input of DC amplifier to which output controlled source of current is linked. Butt surfaces of chamber for tested medium are made in the form of cones. Matched load, for instance, in the form of absorbing cone is mounted behind detectors of electromagnetic waves on butt surface of section of round waveguide.
