FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves exiting superficial slow wave field of HE11 type along vertically arranged superficial wave waveguide as dielectric pipe filled with liquid under study having dielectric permeability of ε and magnetic permeability of μ=1 using conic horn antenna. Progressive wave mode is set. Receiving vibrators are spirally arranged diametrically opposite along the dielectric pipe. The vibrators measure electric field intensity in plane arranged normally relative to wave propagation direction. Non-dissipative attenuation coefficient αr value is calculated and ε is determined. Dielectric particles sedimentation process conclusions are drawn from local ε values distribution along the pipe taken into consideration.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measurements.
