FIELD: quantitative determination of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine in water, for instance, at facilities storing components of rocket fuels, at factories of chemical industry, at facilities purifying sewage from hydrazine and its toxic organic derivatives, tests of areas contaminated as result of fall of detachable parts of rockets. SUBSTANCE: method determining mass concentration of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine in water includes taking sample, injection of reagent with subsequent determination of concentration of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine. Oxidizer is used as reagent and concentration of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine is determined by maximum intensity of glow in system: chemiluminescent reagent - oxidizer. Reagent based on luminol or luminol and hydrogen peroxide is used in the capacity of chemiluminescent reagent. Oxidizer is acidulated with solution of sulfuric acid beforehand. Potassium permanganate acidulated up to pH 1.5-2.0 in advance is used in the capacity of oxidizer. EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of mass concentration of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine, especially if its concentration in water is low. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
