FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for rapidly detecting unsymmetrical dimethydrazine on surfaces, for example, to control integrity of tanks, pipelines, chemical process equipment, chemical weapon and rocket fuel components storage or destruction areas, and also for sanitary inspection. A reagent is spread on a test surface using aerosol sprayer. As reagent, cobaltous chloride, nitrate, or sulfate solution is used. When in contact with unsymmetrical dimethydrazine, reagent changes its color so indicating the presence of the former. Aerosol sprayer is completely rechargeable.
