FIELD: ship locators, aerial photography devices. SUBSTANCE: method lies in measurement of rocking and movement of guidance drive in compliance with preset control signal, measured rocking and compensation signal of drift of sensitivity axis of rocking meter. For formation of compensation signal of drift of sensitivity axis of rocking meter signal characterizing movement of guidance drive is measured, measured signal is compared with expected value. From formed difference signal component caused by rocking is filtered, obtained signal is corrected and so formed compensation signal of drift of sensitivity axis of rocking meter is subtracted from preset control signal. Correction is carried out processing from condition of required stability and accuracy. Gear for implementation of method has unit measuring rocking and movement which first input is input of control device and output is output of gear, modelling unit which input is connected to control input of gear, mismatch meter, suppressor of rocking signals, discriminator and unit for correction of circuit of drift compensation which output is connected to second input of unit measuring rocking and movement whose output is linked to second input of mismatch meter. EFFECT: increased accuracy of compensation of drift and thanks to it enhanced precision of gear for guidance and stabilization of instruments placed on rocking bases. 5 cl, 4 dwg
