FIELD: microwave engineering; signal handling devices in microwave signal transmission channels using semiconductor devices as switches. SUBSTANCE: microwave contactor of microwave-signal transmission line has microwave signal transmission line 1 and two-pole circuit 2 with switching p-i-n diode connected in parallel with line 1; two-pole circuit is built up of alternating switching p-i-n diodes 4, 5 and impedance inverters 3 interconnected in cascade; number of p-i-n diodes is 2n and number of impedance inverters is 2n for normally-open contactor and (2n-1) for normally closed contactor, where n is number of fast ON-OFF cycles. EFFECT: improved speed of response at limited number of ON-OFF cycles in wide range of handled microwave signal levels. 3 dwg
