FIELD: agriculture, in particular, equipment for treating seeds and plant mass in the process of growing. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has screw line 1 defined by spiral 2 made from wire 3 whose ends are closed by nonlinear current-conductive member 4. Inner part of screw coils 1 may be earthed by conductor 5 and one of its ends is provided with dielectric insulator 6. During operation, sample of plant material is placed in apparatus between coils 1 and subjected to treatment depending on purpose: during growing phase treatment is conducted through the whole growing period, during processing of feed treatment is conducted prior to feeding of animals. Members of apparatus may be twisted to the right or to the left. Diode may be used as nonlinear current-conductive member 4. According to the extent of twisting of spiral 2, coils 1 and conductor 5, carotene or sugar content may be increased and nitrate content may be reduced. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, increased efficiency and improved quality of feed. 12 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl
