FIELD: medical engineering; processing of blood by ultraviolet radiation when curing people and animals. SUBSTANCE: cross-sectional area of reservoir in which liquid is irradiated is larger than those of inlet and outlet holes. Clearance is provided between reservoir surface and flowing liquid surface. Hole is made on the side of that clearance for airtight passage of light-conducting fiber. Radiation source y is represented by lasers of high-pressure wide band lamps operating in pulse mode. Device has chamber filled with gases. It is coupled to reservoir through adapter hose and hole with olive on reservoir surface. This enables processing of liquid in presence of gas or combination of gases. EFFECT: improved safety of patient in case of irradiated blood transfusion; higher convenience of device operation and extended operational capabilities of device. 4 cl, 1 dwg
