FIELD: gas purification. SUBSTANCE: invention is suitable for gas effluent from coal gasification plant, generator gas produced in fusion gas generator, and blast-furnace gas from reduction smelting assembly. In preliminary washing attachment scrubber and then in scrubber with annular gap, in saturation washing operation located before preliminary washing attachment scrubber, hot gas loosing considerable part of its heat capacity on evaporation of fed hot water is saturated with steam to saturation limit and then cooled. During these operations, dust particles are wetted and their ability to rapidly condensate steam on their surface facilitates dust separation in subsequent cooling and cleaning stages.
