FIELD: transport engineering; automobile accessories. SUBSTANCE: bow-shaped curved elongated base of windshield wiper is made with cross section of profile and curvature which provide increase of load applied by connector square to windshield glass surface sufficient to straight ten out the base and distributed from connector arranged in center of base in direction of one or both ends of base. Second differential of bending moment also increases from connector in direction to one or both ends of base. Load can increase straight to ends of base or base can have end sections with constant load. To get required profile of load, width, thickness and radius of curvature of free shape are chosen. In preferable design version base has rectangular cross-section shape, and thickness and width uniformly decrease from connector to ends. However, thickness can be constant at end sections.
