VEHICLE HOOD ASSEMBLING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; assembling of automobile and tractor hoods. SUBSTANCE: device has bed frame, vertical pillars, mounting and locating mechanism and clamping mechanism. Mechanism to synchronize rotation of mounting and location mechanism is installed inside bed frame and vertical pillars which have common axis of rotation. Synchronization mechanism is made in form of four sprockets, two of which are installed on axles, and two others are mounted on shaft, sprockets being coupling in pairs with chains. Mounting and location mechanism is made in form of two L-shaped lovers, each consisting of body in upper portion of which locating member is installed consisting of screw with fitted on ball support adjustable in height, and also clamping mechanism consisting of L-shaped lever furnished with mounting member. Cam mechanism is installed in clamping mechanism housing. Cam mechanism engages with spring-loaded pin. Mounting and location members of hood furnished with pins are installed in lower part of body of L-shaped levers. Mounting and location members are adjustable in height. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, facilitate assembling of hood. 5 dwg
