FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparing zinc oxide followed by removing liquid slag and is distinguished with that the latter is supplemented with silica- and alkali-containing components, 13.33-64.0 and 16.3-27.0 wt %, respectively, after which mass is smelted at 1350-1400 C being held at maximum temperature for 1.0-1.5 h. Finally, shaping of items and their hardening are fulfilled. Production line includes zinc-containing material preparation section and furnace with liquid slag removal system. Line is additionally provided with blend preparation section linked through loading device with bath-type furnace installed under slag separator. This furnace is equipped with hydraulic gate and immersed burners. Behind bath-type furnace, shaping device and furnace for heat treatment of shaped items are installed.
