FIELD: ceramics. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing plastic mass containing, vol.%: plastic clay 15-60; grog addition (crushed ceramic articles, quartz sand or slag) 5-20 and pumice or iron oxide 3-12. Then backing is formed, dried, calcined and glazed. Except for, burning out plant additions (15 vol.%) were added additionally to mass. Backings were reinforced with glass-fiber or metallic net at cell size 30-50 mm and wire diameter 0.12-0.18 mm. Backings were steamed at 150 C before calcination at 800-930 C. At glazing vitreous coating (acid stability is up to 80%) is applied on backing. EFFECT: improved method of making, enhanced quality. 5 cl, 1 tbl
