FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: claimed method of preparing N-(cyclohexylthio)phthalimide by reaction of cyclohexyl chloride with homogeneous Na2S solution and sulphur in aqueous medium at boiling temperature. The resulting dicyclohexyl disulfide is chlorinated in organic solvent and the resulting sulphanyl chloride solution is added dropwise to phthalimide in the presence of alkali, water or alcohol. The reaction should be preferably carried out in the presence of quaternary ammonium salt. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method.
