Abstract RU 2091711 C1

FIELD: measurement technology, laser location, radio physics, measurement of range to objects which surface has unspecified structure and reflective capability. SUBSTANCE: process envisages illumination of object by laser pulse. When recorded reflected signal is divided into three signals, two of them are converted spatially-linearly to videodsignals with time interval between them proportional to range R to object. Power of third signal is measured and when it reaches upper boundary of dynamic range duration of laser pulse is limited. In this case range is found by formula (R=R1/ (1+R2·R3·h), where h is value proportional to time interval between centers of videosignals; R1,R2 are coefficients determined as result of calibration; R3 is coefficient tied up with scale of spatial-linear conversion of photodetector. Device measuring range has pulse laser, synchronization unit, unit adjusting duration of laser pulse, data processing unit including input lens and first photodetector, unit forming information on range and computer connected in series, second photodetector with input lens, unit measuring power of reflected signal, diaphragm with two holes, two optical wedges coupled to the latter.
