FIELD: gas analysis, location of points and determination of intensity of leaks of natural gas from main lines with aid of gears mounted on flying vehicles. SUBSTANCE: given aviation gear has two lasers optically coupled to unit of radiation formation and output which irradiates inspected section of the Earth surface near gas pipe-line. Radiation scattered from ground is recorded with the help of receiving optical system and photodetector connected to amplifier-converter. Electric pulses corresponding to received radiation go from output of amplifier- converter to buffer storage and then to calculator. Calculation result is shown on warning device manufactured in the form of display. Each laser is connected to proper output of additional unit controlling operational modes composed of delay former, timer, commutator, amplifier-converter. Outputs of commutator are connected in unit controlling operational modes to delay former and timer, timer is coupled to delay former and buffer storage, output of amplifier-converter is connected to buffer storage. Besides them there are installed unit forming temperature contrast of section of surface near pipe-line which exceeds by its dimensions section of the Earth surface irradiated with laser radiation which is connected through commutator to unit processing field of temperature contrast coupled to visualization unit installed additionally. Commutator is coupled to calculator. Apart from them gear can be supplemented with unit for formation of visual image, unit for returning of radiation which returns length of radiation wave within range 3.1-3.6 mkm smoothly and independently and unit for spatial scanning with laser radiation.
