FIELD: laser technology, technological, medical, metrological, research and other laser installations. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with method reference signal proportional to nominal value of output parameter is set, signal proportional to value of output parameter is isolated and pumping power is controlled in compliance with value of reference signal proportional to nominal value of output parameter. After setting of reference signal signals/proportional to minimal and maximal value of output parameter are formed. Isolated signal proportional to value of output parameter is compared with formed signals proportional to maximal and minimal values of output parameter and pumping power is increased if isolated signal proportional to value of output parameter is less than signal proportional to minimal value of output parameter, pumping power is decreased if isolated signal proportional to value of output parameter is bigger than signal proportional to maximal value of output parameter.
