FIELD: lasers for process, medical, and metrological engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes setting of reference signal proportional to rated value of output parameter, discrimination of signal proportional to output parameter, and control of output parameter variation in proportion to value of reference and discriminated signals. Output light-conducting instrument is mounted upon reference-signal setting. In the course of control, adequate number of laser modules is turned on depending on diameter of central core of light- conducting instrument. Proposed method is implemented by introducing output parameter setting element, control-signal shaping unit, light- conducting instrument parameter meter, output parameter meter, set of controlled laser modules, adder, and light-conducting instrument in radiation-parameter control system of laser. Inserted inside sleeve are concentrators that function to combine light conductors of each controlled module and separator affording desired distribution of concentrators inside sleeve. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities due to using light- conducting instruments of different diameters. 5 cl, 7 dwg
