FIELD: electrical engineering, high- voltage electric circuits. SUBSTANCE: gear displays enhanced reliability due to increase of overload capability of its resistor unit made of odd number of parts, as minimum three, connected in series and linked through communication devices with one lead to ground and with other lead to neutral of transformer. Commutation devices are divided into two groups. In one group each device is connected with one lead to even connection points of parts of resistor unit. Other group is composed of commutation devices which are connected with one lead to neutral of power transformers and with other lead to odd connection points of parts of resistor unit.
