FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: monitoring device has n series-connected lines each including m parallel power capacitors connected in parallel with series-connected high- and low-voltage capacitors. Low-voltage capacitor is connected by means of diodes to first DC voltage capacitor. Current transformer primary winding is inserted between line under discussion and adjacent lines, and secondary winding is connected in parallel with resistor which is connected via diode to second DC voltage capacitor. First and second DC voltage capacitors have one of their like-polarity leads interconnected directly and remaining leads, through light-emitting diode. The latter is directed to input of fiber-optic cable whose terminal is located at attending personnel on duty. EFFECT: improved reliability of power capacitor bank due to monitoring its condition. 1 dwg
