FIELD: metallurgy; steel continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of steel from vacuum chamber into tundish through branch nozzle; separation of tundish by transverse partitions into the middle and extreme zones; supply of steel to middle zone; dioxidation and alloying of steel in middle zone with aluminium; supply of inert gas to extreme zones through porous plugs; supply of slag mixture to metal meniscus in tundish and molds. In course of continuous casting. level of slag in tundish set up above level of discharge over lauder bottom in the middle part of tundish, and working level of steel is set up below the level of discharge over launder bottom by value equalling 0.01-0.05 of height of working level of metal in tundish. In so doing, level of slag discharge is varied in height above launder bottom by value equalling 0.005-0.2 of height of steel level in tundish. The device for embodiment of the offered method has refractory lining separated by two transverse partitions into three zones interconnected through slots located between lower ends of partitions and bottom of tundish, and discharge launder located in middle zone on side wall of tundish.
