FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: method to apply vacuum treatment to a steel, containing too small amount of carbon at continuous casting in a flow line lies in the fact that when releasing from converter carbon content is defining in the steel within 0.020 to 0.040 per cent. The steel is deoxidized in casting ladle up to residual oxygen content ranging within 0.030 to 0.050 per cent. Process of applying vacuum treatment to a steel in flow line is performed at residual pressure within 0.5 to 5.0 kPa. The steel is fed from vacuum chamber through a pipe branch in the middle area of the intermediate ladle, subdivided into three areas by cross partitions. Then the steel is deoxidized and alloyed by aluminum in the middle area the intermediate ladle. Inert gas is fed into end areas of the intermediate ladle at 1...3 m3/h flow rate, as well as slag mixture containing carbon within 0.1 to 5.0 per cent is fed to metal meniscus in the intermediate ladle at flow rate within 0.3 to 0.7 kg/t and to metal meniscus in crystallizers at 0.5 to 1.2 kg/t steel flow rate. EFFECT: high quality and productivity. 2 cl, 1 tbl
