FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: aqueous media are treated in ultrasonic chamber at frequency higher than 25 kHz and density of ultrasonic vibration power 0.05-2 W/sq.cm. Ultrasonically treated water is directed to UV disinfection and filtration stages. UV disinfection involves pulse emission source operated in the 190-300 nm continuous-spectrum region with pulse duration 10-6 - 2•10-4 s and density of pulse emission power in any cross-section of medium volume at least 20 kW/sq.m, or discharge source of continuous emission in the 190-300 nm region with emission power density in any cross-section of medium volume at least 50 kW/sq.m. EFFECT: intensified treatment process. 2 cl, 2 tbl
