FIELD: waste water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: application areas: cleaning of waste waters from producing enterprises, from basis storehouses for plant protection chemicals based on chlorinated hydrocarbons, and chemical-pharmaceutical industry. Method is accomplished by treating waste water with hydrogen peroxide and UV emission preceded by averaging and diluting waste water to concentration of organics 0.04-0.25 mmole/L and adjusting pH value to 7-9. Hydrogen peroxide is added in amounts 2.6 to 34.3 mmole/L and process is carried out stepwise, wherein 75-80% H2O2 of its total amount is used in the first step before irradiation and the rest is used 15-20 min after irradiation is started. Irradiation is performed under flow-circulation conditions using low-pressure mercury-quartz lamps until UV irradiation dose 0.3-0.9 J/cm2 is reached.
EFFECT: increased cleaning efficiency and reduced expenses.
