FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant to be used in agriculture when constructing specialized irrigation systems utilizing waste waters and stockraising farm drains. Surface and drainage waters are subjected to stepped preliminary treatment using shrub and grass vegetation and pretreated material is then used to dilute waste water. Mixture thus obtained is subjected to additional treatment using high-stem highest aquatic vegetation. The latter is cultured on the bottom of trapezoidal channel with berms. On the lower berm, plants resistant to waterlogging of rootage and waterflooding in vegetation period are planted, and, on upper berm, shrub vegetation is planted. Bottom of channel is zigzag-shaped in horizontal plane where sections with forward, zero, and back slopes alternate.
